From the charcoal grill, not the microwave

It’s cosy in Gomberts Gaststube. We cook for our hotel guests; we are not a public restaurant. Breakfast buffet in the morning, barbecue buffet at the weekend, and once a year our very own Bavarian Oktoberfest in the house.

Ascension 2027 is already fully booked. 4 days of motorcycle fun for €259, 3 days for €199. All other dates can be booked individually, from April to October.

Knüll Nature Park

Gentle hills, picturesque river valleys

Rengshausen is an oasis of peace and quiet: no through traffic, clean air. The premium trails ‘Hutewald’ and ‘Rund um den Rommelsberg’ start right on the doorstep, and the half-timbered towns of Homberg, Fritzlar, Melsungen and Rotenburg are close by. The Edersee, the Rhön and the Thuringian Forest are all just under an hour’s drive away.

„Hatten mit 10 Bikern wieder ein Super Wochende bei Adi (schon zum 3. Mal). Sind bestens mit Essen und Trinken (Flatrate)versorgt worden, einfach klasse. Danke auch an Adis Frau (Frühstücksversorgung) und an die Küchencŕew die uns am Freitag mit Schnitzel satt und am Samstag mit einem Grillbuffet versorgt hat. Die Lage des Hotels ist super, man ist mitten im Knüllwald und kann von dort aus tolle Touren planen und fahren. Wir werden im nächsten Jahr sicherlich wieder kommen. Grüße aus dem Norden von Peter und der ganzen Truppe“

„Wir waren mit insgesamt 11 Motorradfahrern bei Adi. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ausreichend ausgestattet. Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch immer ausreichend vorhanden. Falls doch noch jemand großen Hunger hatte wurde für Nachschub gesorgt. Zu empfehlen ist auf alle Fälle die Getränke-Flatrate. Macht es für Adi und seine Kunden wesentlich einfacher. Ist eine tolle Idee. Am Abend wurde noch Programm geboten, so dass auch das feiern nicht zu kurz gekommen ist. Wir haben am Samstag eine schöne Motorradtour gemacht. Karten Material lag aus und uns wurden auch Tourentipps gegeben. Die Region bietet sehr viele Kurven, viel Natur. Adi und sein Team haben uns ein sehr schönes und gelungenes Wochenende geboten. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.“
