Legal
Privacy policy
Only the German version of this page is legally binding.
Thank you for your interest in ADI HOTELS KNÜLLWALD. This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit this website and when you send an enquiry, for what purpose, and what rights you have (Art. 12 and 13 GDPR).
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR) is:
ADI HOTELS KNÜLLWALD · Owner: Adi GombertSchulgraben 2-4, 34593 Knüllwald-Rengshausen
Phone 0173 7220855 · Email info@hotel-adi.de
We are not required to appoint a data protection officer; for any questions about data protection, you can reach us using the contact details above.
2. The key points first
- This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services.
- Fonts, images and scripts are stored on our own web space and loaded from there. No external fonts (such as Google Fonts) and no content from third-party servers are integrated when the page is accessed.
- There is no embedded map and there are no embedded videos. Google Maps only opens once you click the ‘Plan your route’ link yourself (section 8).
- A connection to WhatsApp, your phone or your email program is only made when you tap the relevant button (sections 5 to 7).
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Vercel provides the technical infrastructure through which the pages are delivered; delivery takes place via a worldwide network of servers, including locations in the European Union (among others Frankfurt am Main).
When you access a page, the server automatically processes data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, page or file accessed, amount of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system and the previously visited page (referrer). These server log files are technically necessary to deliver the website, detect faults and ensure the security of the systems. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and fault-free operation). The log files are not combined with other data and are deleted after a short time.
A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel. Where data is transferred to the USA, this is based, according to the provider, on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
4. Enquiries via the website
On the ‘Request a room’ page you can enquire about a room, an apartment, a package or workers’ accommodation with no obligation. In doing so, we process the information you enter in the form:
- arrival and departure dates, number of people, preferred room type, meals and, where applicable, the package you would like;
- for enquiries for workers: company name, number of employees, type of accommodation and whether payment is made on site or the company covers the costs;
- your name, your phone number and/or email address, your preferred way of reply (call, WhatsApp or email) and your message.
The only mandatory fields are your travel dates, your name and one way to contact you. The purpose of processing is to handle and answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare the booking. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract).
When you submit it, your enquiry is sent as an email to our mailbox info@hotel-adi.de. The mailbox is operated by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, on servers in Germany. To send the enquiry and the confirmation of receipt to you, we use the email delivery service Resend (Resend, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA), with which a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place; the transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Alternatively, you can send us the finished enquiry with one click via your own email program or via WhatsApp (section 6). In that case the website itself does not transmit any data, but only opens the relevant program with the prepared text.
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted once they have been dealt with, at the latest after six months. If an enquiry leads to a booking, we retain the documents in accordance with the retention obligations under commercial and tax law (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB, up to ten years).
5. Contact by phone and email
The phone and email links on this website merely open your phone or email program; the website itself does not transmit any data. If you call us or write to us, we process the data you provide (name, contact details, content of the enquiry) in order to respond to your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries about a booking, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering your enquiry). The data is deleted as soon as the enquiry has been dealt with, unless retention obligations apply.
6. WhatsApp
You can use the WhatsApp buttons to send a message to our mobile number. Such a button is a simple link (wa.me) that opens WhatsApp on your device or WhatsApp Web. Only then is data transmitted to WhatsApp; merely visiting our pages does not establish any connection to WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is provided by WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, a company of the Meta group (Meta Platforms, Inc., USA). WhatsApp processes your phone number, your profile name, the time and the metadata of the message in accordance with its own privacy policy; a transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out. We process your message itself like an enquiry by email (section 5, Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). If you do not want to use WhatsApp, you can reach us just as well by phone, email or via the enquiry form.
7. Temporary storage in the browser
If you click on an offer on the home page, the website remembers this choice in your browser’s session storage (sessionStorage) so that the enquiry bar can pre-select the matching offer. Only the name of the offer is stored, with no reference to you as a person. The entry only remains in the open browser tab and is deleted as soon as you close the tab. It is not transmitted to us or to third parties and is strictly necessary for the requested function (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG). No cookies are set.
8. Links to other providers
The ‘Plan your route’ link on the ‘Contact’ and ‘Region’ pages opens Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) in a new window. No map is embedded on our website; data such as your IP address is only transmitted to Google once you click. Google’s privacy policy then applies (policies.google.com/privacy).
The links to the review portals HRS, Hotels.com, HolidayCheck and bikerbetten.de lead to the websites of the respective providers. Here too, data is only transmitted to the provider once you click; their privacy policy then applies.
9. Language versions
The language selector in the header leads to translated versions of this website (English, Polish, Ukrainian, Czech, Dutch, French, Spanish). The translations are an integral part of the website and are delivered by our hosting like all other pages. No third-party translation service is integrated; switching the language does not transmit any data to third parties. The German version is the legally binding one.
10. Registration form on arrival
For guests who are not German nationals, we are obliged under the German Federal Registration Act (Bundesmeldegesetz, §§ 29, 30 BMG) to complete a registration form on arrival. We process the data collected there exclusively for this purpose (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) and destroy it once the statutory retention period of one year has expired.
11. Recipients and disclosure
We only pass on your data where this is necessary for the purposes stated: to the service providers named in this policy (hosting, email delivery, mailbox), which act as processors on our instructions, and to authorities where we are legally obliged to do so. Your data is never passed on for advertising purposes.
12. Your rights
- Access to your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
To exercise these rights, simply contact us using the details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, datenschutz.hessen.de.
13. Last updated
This privacy policy was last updated on 28 September 2026. We will update it as soon as the website’s technical set-up changes, for example when Google reviews are embedded.
